Construction of the new pool shelter over the concrete stairs (along the Richmond Street side of the lap pool) was completed this week and solar panels have been installed on the roof.

The pool will open to the public on 10 October. It is anticipated the solar panels along with the pool blankets (installed at the end of the 2019-2020 pool season) will increase water temperatures to a more comfortable swimming temperature especially for the early morning swimmers.
