Batlow Playground Equipment Upgrade

The Project
Two climbing units were installed, one with a tube slide, along with a 360 degree nest swing. This equipment creates exciting new play areas where kids can really try their fitness levels and stamina as they balance, hang on and traverse between activities.
Soft-fall material was installed under and around the new equipment in accordance with Australian Standards. The park’s existing heritage steam engine was retained.
This project was completed in December 2019.
Background
Funding was allocated from the NSW Government’s Stronger Communities Fund (Round 2) to replace playground equipment in HV Smith Park, on the corner of Crofton Avenue and Maple Street, Batlow.

Time to play!
Upgrades are complete and the new playground equipment looks splendid. The upgrade included the installation of new Muduplay Geo Climber, Geo Swell and Tornado Basket Swing.
Locals and visitors will no doubt enjoy climbing, sliding and swinging at the park this summer!
