Background

Tumut’s Bull Paddock sportsground received a $297,130 boost from the NSW Government's Stronger Country Communities Fund for essential upgrades to the two southern playing fields.

The Project

Upgrade of the two southern ovals included removal of an estimated 1000 tonnes of existing vegetation, installation of a slit drainage system and an automatic irrigation system and the planting of 1800 square metres of new turf.

The project was completed in June 2019.

    The southern end of Tumut’s Bull Paddock has been resurfaced and we anticipate the grass will be fully established and the ground ready to re-open in early June.

    The $40,000 surface refurbishment at the Bull Paddock is progressing without mishap and weather dependent, is planned for completion for the Winter sports season.

  • Sports Ground Closes for Weed Spraying

    The Southern end of Tumut's Bull Paddock will be closed from Monday 22 October until March 2019 for surface upgrades.
    Weed spraying will be happening over the next couple of weeks at the grounds before construction gets underway.
    The construction area will be signposted and barriers will be in place. Please avoid treated areas for 24hrs after spraying. Treatment areas will be sign posted.
