The Bull Paddock Youth Precinct, located on Fitzroy Street Tumut is one of the most utilised recreation areas within the Snowy Valleys. The new amenities are located closer to the playground and adjacent to the new permanent Driver Reviver site, making the area a much more family friendly destination for locals and visitors.

Fitzroy Toilets

The new amenities opened to the public in August 2022. The facility contains four unisex toilets, one disabled compliant toilets and a parents room.

They include improved disability access and consist of one disabled access toilet, three unisex toilets and a parents room.

To reduce opportunities for anti-social behaviour an automatic locking system will close the facility from 6pm-6am daily (times to be review during daylight saving months).

The old amenities at the other end of the park have been demolished. They were in very poor condition and no longer met user expectations.

Funding of $300,000 was received under the State Governments 2nd Round of the Local Roads and Community Infrastructure Program and the project was adopted by Council.

 Driver Reviver

The Driver Reviver project represents a great example of Council working in conjunction with the local community.

Works were completed in April 2022 and include six off-highway parking bays, an 8 x 8 metre concrete slab, and three permanent picnic tables (two with shelters).

Tumut Lions Club received funding of $150,000 under the Driver Reviver Site Upgrades Program Round Two, administered by the Department of Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development and Communications; funding included a new mobile purpose-built food

Tumut Lions Club is passionate in its support of Driver Reviver and its role in reducing road trauma and death.

Construction of the new amenities is almost complete but before the toilets are opened, we need to build the accessible concrete pathways.

Please watch out for workers on-site whilst we finish up.

Once the upgrade to one of our most utilised recreation areas is finished the current amenities at the other end of the park will be closed for good as they are in very poor condition and no longer meet user expectations.
