The first two
cabins arrived at the park on Friday 31 January. The cabins called “Montana” sleep up to 6
people and will be equipped with a queen ensemble and two double bunks, sub floor
skirting, microwave, fridge, spit system air-conditioning, service connections
and activation items such as cutlery, crockery and linen.
The remaining two cabins and residence/office are scheduled to arrive
this week. One of the cabins will be upgraded for all access disability
compliance, a positive step in making the park user friendly to more people.
Connections to the new buildings will take 1-2 weeks and we are on track
to have them available for Tumbafest.

It’s exciting to see work progress as the park as
it’s transformed into a professional looking caravan park. An entry upgrade has
been completed with the installation of boom gates, car parking spaces and
disable car park.
To cater for the influx of
seasonal workers and holiday travelers temporary toilet facilities have been
fitted at the park for campers to use. The camp kitchen has been expanded and
includes the addition of two new stoves and table and chair settings.
Council
resolved to install four two-bedroom cabins and a new residence and office
building. The new cabins are currently being manufactured offsite and are targeted
for installation and commissioning early February
