Towns and Villages - Services which support wellbeing for local people

About the project

The doors of the new Batlow Library opened on Tuesday 22 September 2020 to the first enthusiastic customers.

The new building provides internal linkage to the Literary Institute and complements the façade of the existing building. The new library has a fresh feel with a welcoming timber veranda entrance, reception area, spacious library zone with built in computer station desking, two meeting rooms, kitchen facilities and dual access toilets.

We hope locals and visitors to the Snowy Valleys enjoy this wonderful new modern space.

Council received $1M in grant funding through the NSW Government Stronger Country Communities program to design and construct a new library/meeting facility in Batlow.
