In accordance with Council’s Code of Conduct, Councillors and staff are expected to conduct their interactions with each other with respect, professionalism, honesty and to a high standard of ethical behaviour.
The SVC Councillor and Staff Interaction Policy aims to facilitate a positive working relationship between Councillors as elected representatives of the community and the staff employed to administer the operations of Council.
It is important to have a framework to assist in an effective working relationship that recognises the important but differing contributions both parties bring to their complementary roles.
