The purpose of the Draft Batlow Cannery Site Findings and Spatial Assessment Plans is to:

• Provide a summary of the community’s ideas and aspirations for the former Cannery site.

• Outline a framework to guide decision making overtime for reuse of the site that responds to the evolving nature of community expectation.

• Inform the ongoing ‘conversation’ about the beneficial use of existing urban infrastructure on the Cannery site.

• Endeavour to identify those things that will serve as a catalyst to development that is sympathetic to the character of Batlow, its landscape qualities and community. All in the context of carefully considering environmental risk.
