Contractor Engaged for Track Build

Common Ground Trails has been engaged to build the new Tumut Pump Track..

Council received $500,000 in grant funding through the Government’s New Council Implementation Funds round 2 (NCIF2) to design and construct a multi-use asphalt pump track in Tumut and construct a designated footpath/cycle way connecting the Bull Paddock area to Elm Drive.

The asphalt pump track will be built in the south-west corner of the Tumut Bull Paddock near the corner of Fitzroy and Sydney Streets, adjacent to the Tumut Skate Park and Basketball Courts.

The pump track will complement the existing youth infrastructure in the area and broaden the facilities available for different age groups and abilities not currently catered for by the skate park.

Common Ground is a trail consultancy specialising in all facets of developing and establishing mountain bike facilities in an aim to connect people with trails, spaces and landscapes.
