Paving of stage 1 of the Tumut CBD upgrade was completed before Christmas and the planted pots and landscaping have brought the street to life.
As a result of Council’s approach to the paving project we have come in under budget and will be able to undertake stage 2 of the project extending the paving into Russell Street (up to Merivale St) and Fitzroy Street.
Stage 2 will get underway in late January 2021 and will take approx. 2-3 months weather permitting.

This week our crew commenced paving the final block in the Tumut CBD upgrade project. They’ve been on the corner of Wynyard Street and Fitzroy Street in front of the Woolpack and will make their way down towards Russell Street. Pedestrians and motorists are reminded to take care around the construction site.
As they move down the street they will complete the finished touches including the installation of the customer made leaf seats on either side of the pedestrian crossing, more black planters and rendering of the old brick planters.
