Consultation has concluded
Background
Funding of $80,000 secured from the NSW Government Major Projects Infrastructure Fund enabled Council to install a new public toilet block in the Tooma village to cater for tourism traffic, families utilising the parkland and people attending the Three Bridges Markets.
The Project
The new amenities block located on the southern side of Possum Point Road consists of two self-composting toilets, one accessible and one unisex, and stainless steel features. A septic system wasn’t suitable due to the proximity to Tumbarumba Creek.
The prefabricated, corrugated iron facility was built off site, delivered by truck and craned into position. The surrounding area was then landscaped.
The project was completed in April 2019.
