Under the GIPA Act, a person seeking access to Council information has a right to be provided with access unless there is an overriding public interest against disclosure of the information.
The Draft Information Guide provides the community with the structure and function of Snowy Valleys Council and details how each function affects them. In the guide it identifies what information is publicly available to members of the public, and how to access government information and be involved in Council’s decision making processes.
We invite you to have your say on our newly drafted policy using the feedback form below .
Written submissions may be attached to the public report that is submitted to Council, unless you explicitly request you do not wish this to occur. They are subject to the Government Information (Public Access) Act 2009 and the Privacy and Personal Information Protection Act (PIPPA).
