Snowy Valleys Council is proud to have delivered these funded projects. To learn more about our completed projects click on the project links below.

The new Itinerant Worker Accommodation at the Batlow Caravan Park was officially opened on Wednesday 4 October 2023. The project was jointly funded by the Australian and NSW Government’s and has provided an additional 60 permanent beds to support the local horticultural and forestry industries.

New learn-to-swim pool and splash play area and new amenities building with toilets, shower, disabled access, canteen, entry area and office. Completed in April 2023.

New modern amenities, including toilets, shower, disabled access, canteen, entry area and office was completed in early 2023. A new fence around the pool facility and the installation of solar heating and a blanket system to regulate the water temperature are still to be delivered.

The Driver Reviver project represents a great example of Council working in conjunction with the local community. Works included six off-highway parking bays, an 8 x 8 metre concrete slab, and three permanent picnic tables (two with shelters). The new amenities building contains four unisex toilets, one disabled-compliant toilet and a parent's room. The full project was completed in April 2022.

Replacement of the toddler and baby pools with a splash play area and learn-to-swim pool as well as separate pool filtration and chlorination systems. The new pools were opened in December 2022.

The Regional Tracks and Trails Master Plan was developed by Council in collaboration with Tredwell to provide an integrated strategic approach to link towns and villages across the Region. The Masterplan is an aspirational plan – a vision of what our region’s tracks and trails network could look like in the long term, boosting tourism and local recreation opportunities. The master plan was adopted by Council at the March 2023 Ordinary meeting.

Community Led Projects

  • Jarrah Oval - $1,050,000

The commencement of the 2023 football season saw the unveiling of the new amenities building. Carpark improvement works were also completed as part of the project.

  • Khancoban Hall - $499,305

The Tumbarumba Chamber of Commerce oversaw the project, undertaking tasks, including roof restoration and asbestos abatement. These efforts have restore the hall's functionality as a community gathering space and event venue.

  • Talbingo Outdoor Gym Equipment - $88,657
