Our Infrastructure - Provide high quality, safe and accessible open spaces and places for active and passive recreation

About the project

Council received $149,500 in grant funding through the NSW Government’s Stronger Country Communities Fund (SCCF) to design and construct a multi-use asphalt pump track in Tumbarumba in partnership with Cycle Tumbarumba. Hyne Community Trust contributed an additional $50,000 to the project via a grant to Cycle Tumbarumba.

The asphalt pump track was built in the south-west corner of the Tumbarumba Creekscape park and was officially opened on 10 December 2018.

It complements the existing infrastructure in the area, while broadening the facilities available for different age groups and abilities not currently catered for by the skate park.

What is a pump track?

Pump tracks are suitable for all abilities and anything on wheels including bikes, scooters and skateboards. It provides a facility for children to learn and practice the skills required for mountain biking and riding the skate park.
