Council partners and supports other agencies to protect local fauna and biodiversity ecosystems

The Roadside Vegetation Management Policy's purpose is to ensure the environment is protected during roadside project work and regular roadside maintenance.

The Snowy Valleys Area is home to 29 species of threatened flora, 71 species of threatened fauna and 5 species of migratory fauna. As such, it is Council’s responsibility to act within the guidelines of NSW Legislation to actively protect and minimise any damage to potentially delicate ecosystems.
