Drinking Water Quality Policy
Council protects and manages local air quality, waterways, rivers and streams
Council is committed to managing its drinking water supply systems to provide safe, high quality drinking water which consistently meets the requirements of the Australian Drinking Water Guidelines, consumer expectations and regulatory requirements.
A Drinking Water Management System (DWMS) is a quality assurance program and a road map to the activities that Council undertakes to ensure the provision of safe drinking water to its customers.
The Draft Drinking Water Quality Policy outlines Council’s strategic intent to deliver on the DWMS and improve public amenities and infrastructure to meet acceptable community standards.
