Scope developed for Crime Prevention Strategy

The following elements will be considered in the development of our Crime Prevention Strategy:

· Developing an understanding of community demographics and local crime profile

· Researching community perceptions of crime and safety

· Gathering information on existing crime reduction initiatives

· Identifying the gaps in current community services to help combat crime

· Consulting with key stakeholders and community partners to build agreement and commitment to the plan

· Using evidence-based research to identify effective initiatives that could assist in crime reduction

The following elements will not be considered in the development of this plan:

· Road safety

· Accidents and Injury
